Cottleville Members delivered $950 in Wish List household and personal care items to support Lydia's House and complete their 2nd Quarter Community Outreach efforts.
Lydia’s House offers secure housing and an immediate community for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Wish List items will go directly to Lydia’s House to support programs to provide the best possible outcomes for women and children entering Lydia’s House programs. Congratulations to the Wentzville chapter and thank you to the Wentzville community for your support. They collected 6,415 items (estimated $10,900 impact) for the Wentzville School District Operation Backpack program.
Special thanks to Joanne and Greg Young, with Servpro WOW - Western O'Fallon/Wentzville for donating their time and truck to help collect and drop off items. Rachel South, Naomi Miller, April Bryant, chapter members, and their community partners 19,097 feminine care items were collected. This is a 444% INCREASE over last year. See below how the donations will be distributed in the area. Congratulations ladies. Silex School District: 2,000 Winfield: 4,000 Elsberry: 3,700 Troy RIII: 9,416 I’m so proud of LBB: Mid St Louis County for organizing a successful art supply drive to benefit Community Arts STL, a non-for-profit organization activating local artists and their resources to aid St. Louis’ anti-violence efforts. Thank you to everyone who contributed! It’s amazing to see what we can do as a community! Estimated value of the donation to be approximately $3,526.
The Cottleville Q1 community outreach initiative was for Sweet Start Ministries. They were able to make 50 encouragement bags valued at a total of $1500 for ladies in need of support.
LBB Cottleville Chapter chose to support Sweet Start Ministries in Q1 2022 by donating 50 encouragement bags. Each bag is geared toward a local parent who is in need of extra encouragement and compassion to see them through their hardship. Items included books, journals and a variety of self care items. The Encore Chapter enjoyed each other's company over lunch & cooking 6 trays of food for Our Lady's Inn. Along with the food they delivered close to 200 kitchen items. 1st quarter is $728 to Our Lady’s Inn.
The St Charles, West County and Wentzville chapters donated $6,335.31 to the Faith Through Fire charity.
Today was a special day for our Madison County LBB Chapter. They presented a $1,040.00 check to Main Street Community Center to go towards their nutrition program. Thank you again to those that participated in our Valentine's Day Purse Give Away. They sold out of tickets and all for a great program.
