Schaefer Autobody Centers
What did you want to be when you were a child?
I think a pediatrician or cheerleader...Both things I would be terrible at!
What called you to your work?
My grandfather, father and brother and I all spent time together in the garage working on cars growing up and all 3 of them work in auto body as well. I started going to work with my dad when I was little and I love marketing and teaching so working in my primary role with Schaefer Autobody was a perfect fit to integrate my auto knowledge and interest with my marketing education, two passions rolled into one job.
Who in the community do you look up to? Do you have a role model?
I admire the owner of our company for leading with transparency & compassion for people as well as all the women of LBB for being uplifting, encouraging and welcoming to everyone. I always leave an LBB gathering with new knowledge, inspiration and goals.
Do you have a personal or professional motto?
The golden rule as well as recently added, take one day at a time.
What product/service do you offer?
Auto damage repair, auto glass repair and replacement and I sell active-wear clothing.
What makes your business unique?
The collision industry all has the same pricing so we set ourselves apart with an excellent customer experience. As far as Zyia Active, it's high quality gear for working out or leisure but I personally love the high waist compression that holds me in and gives me confidence without a waistband rolling.
What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said to you about your products/service?
We are told by customers they feel treated like family and praise our team regularly, that makes me proud. When people come to see us at Schaefer Autobody it is never because they want to, so we try to make the best experience for a bad and unexpected situation.
What are three things you use every day in your job?
Tell us about organizations/charities you are passionate about.
I love to support Saint Louis Children's Hospital, our owner had a positive experience staying there for 6 months before losing his son. My sister in law beat leukemia and LLS was so helpful for our family I love to give back to them, I love supporting Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Stray Rescue as well. So many organizations do so many amazing things it's hard to narrow it down!
When you are not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family, spending time outdoors, working out, journaling and also love my couch time to binge and snuggle and lounge with my pups and husband.
