The LBB Chapters of Cottleville, O’Fallon, St Charles and Wentzville Chapters came
together to launch the first annual St. Charles County Sharing is Beautiful, Period Campaign, a community outreach effort which ran from February 1 st – April 15 th . The campaign was designed to educate the public on period poverty, eliminate the luxury tax on feminine hygiene items in Missouri and provide products directly to local schools in St. Charles County. Donations were made through monetary donations, Amazon Wish list purchases and drop location partners, which included: Aerie Lane, Chillax St. Peters, CottageCare St. Charles, Detail Driven Car Wash, Fox & Riley Real Estate, Ready Train Go, Drip City Med Spa, Rise Family Chiropractic, Solutions By Shaver, Southern Grace Coffee, Winter-Dent & Company, Mindset Nutrition, 608 Chic - Boutique On Main, Dragonfly Wellness, LLC, CORE Physical Therapy and The Maids of St. Charles County. To close the campaign, on Thursday, April 11 th all 4 chapters hosted a Mix and Mingle at The Quarry Wine Garden. Guest enjoyed mingling, musical stylings from The Jack Pordea and shopping with a variety of vendors including: Blue Empress Tarot, LLC, Days for Girls, Earth + Fire Creations, Essential Rejuvenation Medical Esthetics, Inside Out Body Solutions, La Te Da’s Boutique, LBB Publishing, MidWest SoftWash, Park Lane Jewelry, Rise Chiropractic, Mom Buns and Ruffles and Touchstone Crystal. Kim Cavaretta of the Wentzville Chapter was the lucky winner of the one-of-a-kind purse raffle! The Mix and Mingle event brought in just over$1,200 in monetary donations and an additional 6,500 in-kind feminine product donations. The community outreach chairs applied for the Operation Round Up grant through the Cuivre River Electric Community Trust and were proudly awarded $2,500, which was directly allocated towards purchases of additional products. Overall, over 44,000 products were collected during the campaign (estimated at a value over $11,000), which will be distributed to public and private schools, as well as several social agencies throughout St. Charles County including:
