Each year the LBB GIVE Foundation awards a scholarship to a worthy recipient who has shown to display leadership qualities.
Scholarship Application Open March 22 - April 22, 2021
Eligible Applicants: Little Black Book's Scholarship Application is open to all future Women of LBB and Wingmen under the age of 25. Applicant must be enrolled in, or attending a higher education institution. Applicants must be sponsored by, and submit a letter of recommendation from a member in good standing with Little Black Book. Application is open to new and past LBB Scholarship applicants.
Purpose: LBB has established a scholarship to be awarded to two students who have a direct connection to a member in good standing of Little Black Book.
Scholarship Details: Little Black Book: Women in Business will award two scholarships in the amount of $500.00 to the selected recipients. The LBB Scholarship Committee will select 5 finalists based on merit. Two recipients will be selected by the committee from the finalists.
Scholarship Payment: The scholarship money will be paid directly to the recipient to be used at their discretion.
Project Theme: "The Power of Connection" Little Black Book stands on five pillars: Connect, Promote, Share, Give, and Become. The 2021 Scholarship Project will focus on "Connect." Applicants are challenged to interpret the theme and create a presentation focused on the power of meaningful connections. Project may draw on past or present experiences, observations, or intentions. Presentation may be delivered through any platform of the applicant's choice. Examples include, but are not limited to: art, poem, photography, apparel, digital presentation, video, article, essay, or any combination of creativity.
Expectations of Applicant: Each project must include (2) portions, a presentation and a written explanation. Applicants must submit their project prior to the deadline of noon on April 22nd. All finalists are required to attend, and agree to present their projects at the LBB Scholarship Presentation event on May 6, 2021. Written explanation must be a minimum of 500, maximum of 750 words. Video submissions must be between 2-4 minutes in length. Explanation of project should take 5 minutes.
Timetable: Scholarship applications are available online at www.womenoflbb.com and are due through online submission by April 22, 2021. The LBB Scholarship Committee will select the recipients and the scholarships will be formally awarded during LBB Scholarship Presentation event on May 6, 2021 (see details below)
