Scholarship Applications - Closed

2021 Time Line: Application process opens March 15, 2021.  Applications Due by April 15, 2021.  Scholarship Awards Presentation will be held on May 6, 2021, location to be announced.

Eligible Applicants: Applicant must be enrolled in or attending a four-year collegiate program. Applicants must be sponsored by, and submit a letter of recommendation from a member in good standing with Little Black Book: Women in Business.

Purpose: LBB has established a scholarship to be awarded to one student who has a direct connection to a member in good standing of Little Black Book: Women in Business.

Amount of Scholarship: Little Black Book: Women in Business will award one scholarship in the amount of $500.00 to the selected recipient.

Timetable: Scholarship applications are available online at www.womenoflbb.com and are due through online submission by April 15, 2021. The LBB Scholarship Committee will select the recipients and the scholarship will be formally awarded during LBB Scholarship Presentation event scheduled for May 6, 2021.  

Expectations of Applicant: Applicants must submit their essay prior to the deadline on July 15th. The LBB Scholarship Committee will select 3-5 finalists based on merit. One recipient will be selected by the committee from the finalists. All finalists are required to attend and agree to participate in programming at the LBB Scholarship Presentation event scheduled for May 6, 2021.  ​

Scholarship Payment: The scholarship money will be paid directly to the recipient to be used at their discretion.

Essay Topic: Little Black Book: Women in Business stands on five pillars: Connect, Promote, Share, Give, and Become.  Which of these pillars will be the most important part of your future.  Explain why you think so.  This isn’t a theory of that pillar, rather a reflection on both the importance of that pillar as well as the way your life will be impacted by embodying that pillar.  Approx. 500 words.  Essays should be emailed to angel@womenoflbb.com.
